May Club Event
Wright's Ferry Mansion
May 20, 2026
10am
Tour: Join us for a tour of the Wright's Ferry Mansion, a beautifully restored 18th-century house and its grounds. Each tour can accommodate a maximum of 10 participants. If we have more than 10 attendees, we will divide the group into two tours at 10am and 11am. We will confirm participation by the May Club Meeting. Volunteers for the 11am tour are welcome to arrive at that time. Additionally, there is an antique mall located just a block away, allowing for browsing before or after the tour, and we can all gather for lunch afterward. Built in 1738, this historic site is a 2½-story rectangular limestone dwelling with a gable roof and pent eaves. Commissioned by Susanna Wright, an English Quaker poet and businesswoman, the house showcases a blend of English and German architectural styles. It has been restored to reflect its appearance in 1750 and is open to the public several days a week from May through October.
Lunch Arrangements: After the tour, we will enjoy lunch at Hinkle's Restaurant, which is just a few blocks away.
Pricing: Please bring $5 cash for the tour.
Sign-Up Information: We will aim to gather a headcount at the club meeting on May 12th. If you plan to attend, please call Beth Lutz at 717-891-8060 to ensure we have an accurate count before the tour date.
